I love the traditions that surround weddings. They get away with being a wee bit cheesey! But equally seem so nostalgic and endearingly old fashioned. I came across this lovely piece whilst browsing the other day.

Tradition states that the bride should place a lucky silver sixpence in her left shoe to bring her a wealth of happiness throughout married life- I have my lovely friend Flo to thank for the name of the business, taken from the rhyme something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a silver sixpence in her shoe.
